Skillbridge was an awesome program for me. Eau Gallie Electric is a veteran-owned and veteran-run company so working for them makes for an easy transition out. They take pride in their veterans and they all know the language. The management is understanding when it comes to our processing and the VA procedures, which makes getting out that much easier.
I decided to transition out of the Marine Corps and change career fields to pursue a career in electrical engineering. With nine years of expertise in telecommunications, I had zero experience in the electrical field. Eau Gallie Electric recognized my drive and willingness to learn and put me to work under the most detail-oriented electricians I’ve ever met. After my DOD Skillbridge time came to an end and I began my electrical engineering degree, Eau Gallie Electric hired me part time as an intern in their electrical engineering department, giving me hands-on experience that paralleled my studies. This opportunity was one-of-a-kind, and I’m honored to work for a company that supports their employees the way they’ve supported me.
Upon my decision to retire from the United States Air Force after 22 years, I was faced with the hard truth that the military was all I’ve know for my adult life. I had to decide what I wanted to do with with the skills and knowledge that I’ve acquired. When I learned of the DoD Skillbridge program, I immediately started looking at the available opportunities. I reached out to Eau Gallie Electric about this opportunity and immediately started the application process. Once approved, I was able to easily transition due in part that there were numerous former military employees, including the owner; Chris Hughes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience thus far and look forward to my continued growth in this trade.
Thank you Chris and Loretta for allowing me to be part of the team.
“We had recently moved to Florida and heard about electric power would sometimes be disrupted during sever weather conditions, such as hurricanes. We contacted several electrical service companies and selected Eau Gallie Electric who suggested we purchase a whole house electric natural gas powered generator. They evaluated our power requirements and suggested that a Generac system was both economical and most reliable generators on the market. They delivered and installed the generator in a timely manner and followed up with personal training. We recommend Eau Gallie Electric for any home electrical needs.”
“Eau Gallie Electric installed our Generac generator, last summer. They did a terrific job! Their staff are very professional. Love having a generator – never worry about being without power. I highly recommend them.”
“The installers were great, basically the company could have cancelled because of pending storm, they chose to install the job and get it running, they put the customer first, thank you Eau Gallic Electric. A/C contractor.”
“Professional technicians very familiar with their work and installed the generator in minimum time. I’d recommend them if you are having a generator installed.”
“Eau Gallie Electric was very responsive to my needs. I received quotes from other installers but Eau Gallie Electric was the only one who quoted the complete job from permitting to gas connection plus hauling off my old generator.
“All phases of the process were very fluid and precise…Would highly recommend this company…”
“This company is easy to deal with, and provided professional service when installing the generator.”
