I decided to transition out of the Marine Corps and change career fields to pursue a career in electrical engineering. Upon my decision to retire from the United States Air Force after 22 years, I was faced with the hard truth that the military was all I’ve know for my adult life. I had to decide what I wanted to do with with the skills and knowledge that I’ve acquired. When I learned of the DoD Skillbridge program, I immediately started looking at the available opportunities. I reached out to Eau Gallie Electric about this opportunity and immediately started the application process. Once approved, I was able to easily transition due in part that there were numerous former military employees, including the owner; Chris Hughes. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience thus far and look forward to my continued growth in this trade.
