Job Description
Must possess a desire to learn and exhibit a positive attitude. We are NOT a large-scale production contractor, we specialize in generator installations, UPS systems, and other specialty electrical installations. We do offer journeyman license scholarships.
SUMMARY
Completely familiar with all the Commercial & Industrial Electrical phases. Plans methods and procedures for the safe installation of the electrical system including coordination with other owners and facility Managers. Performs installation in accordance with the National Electric Code and/or local code enforcing authority. Ensures that sufficient material, tools, and equipment are available on the Service truck, so the work orders are being done in a productive manner. Maintain a harmonious and productive attitude towards other employees and clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Electrician 3-5 + years experience, preferably in Commercial & Industrial
- Experience running a service truck, commercial and industrial electrical
- Professional appearance, ability to use a Smart Phone/Tablet, willingness to work safe, great attitude, and ambition to grow
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment, including electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, and the need for required adjustments, or repairs to ensure compliance with local and national codes
- Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, run conduit with precision using hand tools and power tools
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements
- Demonstrate and uphold all of Eau Gallie Electric’s core values: Relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement, and community
- Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Journeyman’s License, OSHA Training, Driver’s License
DUTIES
Includes the following, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Troubleshoot outages
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Familiarity with codes and installation specs for the South Florida area.
- Electrical hand tools
- Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment including the use of electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
- Install and repair electrical systems and fixtures
- Install various types of panel and services
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Other duties as assigned
