Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience working on electrical projects up to 5,000 hours or $2 million in contract value. Healthcare, Education Institutions, or Heavy Commercial Electrical experience is a must. Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications, other contract documents, wiring diagrams, manufacturer information, and other job-related directives. Must be able to identify price changes to the contract. Must be able to make legible sketches and relate information to employees.
Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Journeyman’s License, OSHA Training, Driver’s License
DUTIES:
Includes the following, but are not limited to:
- Orientate new employees.
- Plan work schedule by assigning tasks to employees.
- Order material and tools. Schedule delivery of major material items.
- Attend job site meetings
- Supervise the installation, and verify it is being made in accordance with the contract documents and code requirements.
- Call for inspections and accompany the inspector during the walkthrough, noting violations
- Notify the General Contractor or contact administrator of any code violations, omissions, conflicts, or deviations in the installation documents.
- Submit cost estimates and schedule changes as required to the Project Manager.
- Administer and enforce the Safety Program and Drug-Free Workplace Program on the job site.
- Supervise the storage of material and equipment.
- Complete accident reports and make accident investigations as required.
- Inspect delivered materials, equipment, fixtures, and apparatus for defects of non-compliance.
- Work with manufacturers, owner’s representative, or owner to ensure a proper installation.
- Supervise weekly safety talks.
- Does job site general administrative functions including but not limited to timecards, packing slips, cost codes, etc.
- Know employee capabilities and place them on an applicable task.
- Other duties as assigned.
