Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager for our Service Division. Our Service Division provides electrical, solar, and generator solutions across Brevard county. Over the last 76 years, we have become a trusted name across Brevard County and are looking for a General Manager to take our Service Division to the next level. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of managing electricians in the field, experience managing the P&L for an organization, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the General Manager include:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Review existing performance of the Service Division across utilization, profitability, leads, and sales; develop and implement a strategic plan to drive revenue growth and
- Strong Communication and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple departments and ensure customer expectations are met. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers.
- Coordination and Communication: ensure effective communication among the team in the field and department managers including subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure the broader vision, mission, and goals of Eau Gallie Electric flow out across the entire division.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, implement process improvement projects to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement measures that increase profitability.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
- Customer Relations: Act as a final escalation point for any customer issues that require immediate and decisive resolution.
Key Characteristics of the General Manager
- Technical Expertise – Has a mastery of electrical systems; strong background in troubleshooting and repairing complex residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Technologically Proficient – Proven ability to master new ERP systems and ensure that operational processes and activities are documented correctly to generate the right type of reports to guide decision making.
- Loves A Challenge – thrives in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Strong Communication Skills – able to clearly and concisely convey complex thoughts both verbally and in writing. Has a strong ability to communicate inside and outside the organization.
- Administrative Prowess – ability to efficiently use MS Word, MS Project, and MS Excel; high aptitude to learn new platforms quickly (we use Monday.com and Jonas).
Minimum Requirements
The General Manager shall meet the following minimum requirements:
- 10 years of leadership experience managing service departments
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
