Airfield Electrical Vaults and Electrical Upgrades
In this project, we undertook a comprehensive transformation of the airfield’s lighting infrastructure. We demolished the existing vault, generator, and fuel tanks. We reconfigured the entire lighting system by installing an impressive 68,000 feet of L-824 5kv cable along with 12,500 feet of underground conduit, employing direct burial, concrete encasement, and directional drilling techniques. We also constructed a new vault, upgraded the Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS), installed Control and Communication Rooms (CCRs), and relocated equipment from the existing vault.
To enhance efficiency and monitoring, Eau Gallie Electric integrated an advanced Airfield Lighting Control Monitoring System, incorporating the Seacom Monitoring System and 3G/4G Remote Maintenance Laptop. Additionally, we placed seven 10’x10’x11′ manholes and six 5’x5’x6′ manholes to optimize access and maintenance.
To ensure a reliable power supply, we added two new CAT generators, a 300kw, and a 60kw unit. Furthermore, we incorporated L-829 constant current regulators with ACE 3 Combos to maintain optimal lighting quality throughout the airfield.
