Generac 28kW Home
Standby Generator
(Model 7329)
The Generac 28kW is the most powerful air-cooled residential standby generator Generac makes. For properties where whole-home coverage means exactly that: every circuit, every system, unconditionally. This is the ceiling of what residential air-cooled can deliver.

- 28,000 watts on natural gas or liquid propane

- Activates automatically within seconds of an outage

The Most Powerful Air-Cooled
Standby Generator Generac Makes
The 28kW is the top of Generac's residential air-cooled range. The homeowners who end up here typically already know that's where they belong, and the load calculation confirms it.
At 28kW, you are not managing load or making prioritization decisions during an outage. The whole home runs. That's the point.
Two things worth stating plainly before the site visit: if your demands are somewhat less than the profile to the right, the 26kW covers the vast majority of large-home scenarios at a lower cost, and we'll tell you that if the load calculation points there. If your property has demands that push genuinely beyond what residential air-cooled equipment can handle (high-density commercial loads, industrial equipment, or multiple structures), a liquid-cooled commercial unit may be the right conversation instead. Our free site visit tells you definitively which category your property falls into.
- Very large home (4,500+ sq ft) with multiple HVAC systems running simultaneously
- Large pool and spa equipment on dedicated circuits
- EV charging at full draw concurrent with full household load
- Home workshop with commercial-grade tools or compressors
- Home-based business infrastructure that cannot go offline
- Whole-home coverage with zero load prioritization or circuit tradeoffs

Note on natural gas supply: At 28kW, BTU demand reaches the upper limit of most residential gas service. A gas line assessment is a mandatory part of every 28kW installation we scope. In the majority of cases at this output, a line upgrade is required. We assess and price this before scheduling, not after.
What's Included in the
Installation Package
The 28kW represents the largest residential generator investment in Eau Gallie Electric's product line. We treat it that way. Every element of the installation is handled by our licensed electricians. No subcontractors, no gaps in accountability, no handoffs between who sold the unit and who put it in.
- Generac 28kW generator and automatic transfer switch
- ecobee by Generac Smart Thermostat, provided to homeowner with installation
- Free site visit, load calculation, and gas line assessment: mandatory at 28kW, scheduled before any proposal is issued
- Permit filing and utility coordination: we manage all county permits and utility notifications start to finish
- Concrete pad installation on every installation, unless an existing pad is already in place
- Gas line work scoped and priced transparently before installation is scheduled
- Mobile Link WiFi setup for remote system monitoring via iOS or Android
- Complete post-installation walkthrough covering generator operation, Mobile Link setup, and exercise cycle schedule
The difference between a PowerPro Elite+ installation and a cut-rate competitor is most visible at this level: the thoroughness of the gas line work, the precision of the transfer switch installation, and the confidence you have that the system will perform when it's needed most.
Built for Florida's
Hurricane Season
At 28kW, protection during hurricane season is unconditional. There is no load shedding, no circuit prioritization, no tradeoff between running the air conditioning and keeping the refrigerators cold. Every system in the home operates exactly as it would on a normal day, regardless of whether the grid is down for six hours or six days.
For a large Brevard County home, that means HVAC systems running at full capacity during summer heat following a storm. Medical equipment that requires continuous power stays online without interruption. Security systems remain active when the property is most vulnerable. Freezers and refrigerators protecting significant quantities of food and medication hold temperature. Pool systems maintain water quality. A home-based business continues operating without losing a day.
The Generac 28kW activates automatically within seconds of an outage. No manual startup, no preparation, no action required. For a property of this size on the Space Coast, that's not an upgrade. It's what proper preparedness looks like.

PowerPro Elite+ Dealer
A 28kW installation is the most complex residential generator project in our lineup, and it requires an installer whose qualifications match the scope of the work. The gas line assessment and potential upgrade, the transfer switch installation at this output level, the utility coordination, the permit process, and the final inspection all have to be executed precisely. This is not the job for the lowest bidder.
Eau Gallie Electric holds Generac's PowerPro Elite+ designation, the brand's highest residential dealer tier, because we've met the training, installation volume, and performance standards Generac requires. Our technicians are factory-certified by Generac specifically, not through a generalist electrical course. Warranty support runs through us directly. And when your system needs attention years from now, you're calling the same company that installed it: employee-owned and serving Brevard County since 1948.
At this investment level, those credentials aren't background details. They're the reason to move forward with confidence.
The proof is in the record: over 5,000 completed generator installations across Florida, each one permitted, inspected, and activated by our certified team.
