This project included the construction of airfield lighting systems, fixtures, wiring, ducts, precast lighting vaults, and related infrastructure as detailed below.

Demolished the existing airfield lighting system and installed a new system. This included the installation of 25,000’ of L-824 5kv Cable. Laid 17,500’ underground conduit utilizing direct burial, concrete encasement, and directionally drilling methods. Implemented 15,000’ Counterpoise, 5 junction can plazas, 3 junction cans, and 10 field lighting arrestor assemblies.

Constructed an airfield lighting vault, and installed 184 runway and taxiway edge lights, 29 Airfield Guidance Signs, and airfield lighting arrestors. Deployed L-852D(L) MIRL runway edge lights, deployed L-852T(L) omnidirectional, blue, semi-flush taxiway edge lights, and integrated L-829 Constant Current Regulators. Integrated airfield lighting radio and control Systems.

Provided temporary power during the entire construction project. Provided temporary airfield lighting, signage and navigational facilities as needed.

This project met the rigorous standards set forth in FAA AC 150/5370-10H. We demonstrated an ability to manage and execute complex projects that involved a wide range of airfield lighting and electrical components.

The Hurlburt Field project focused on installing essential electrical infrastructure to support apron operations, including lighting, aircraft support, and telecommunications. This involved meticulous underground cable laying, transformer deployment, and distribution panel installation, alongside the erection of high-mast lighting systems for improved visibility during low-light conditions. Additionally, telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic cables and conduits, was established to facilitate effective communication within the apron area. Demolition of existing taxiway edge lights made way for new apron connector taxi lanes, with detailed planning ensuring uninterrupted power supply to operational taxiways. Furthermore, the installation of precast handholes supports various electrical and communication needs, enhancing overall functionality.

Eau Gallie Electric’s NAVAIDS department recently completed Belle Glade Municipal Airport – Airfield Lighting project in Palm Beach County. The scope of our work included comprehensive site preparation, involving the demolition of existing lighting fixtures and control systems, ensuring FAA compliance, and providing adequate illumination for safe aircraft operations. Additionally, we relocated and upgraded the Pilot Activated Lighting Control (PALC) system to enhance functionality and compatibility with the new solar lights.

Belle Glade Municipal Airport serves as a vital hub for general aviation in Palm Beach County, supporting the local agricultural industry through crop spraying services provided by its on-site tenants. Our work to upgrade and improve the airfield lighting system ensures the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations, particularly during crucial activities such as crop spraying. The New Castle Airport - Conversion to Doppler Facility Project, undertaken by Eau Gallie Electric, involved a comprehensive scope of work aimed at transforming the facility into a Doppler facility.

This included the removal of the existing TACAN antenna and Tee-Pee, as well as the relocation of the existing generator.
Additionally, tasks encompassed the installation of VOR and TACAN monopole foundations, pre-fabricated concrete shelter, fiberglass Tee-Pee shelter, Doppler tower, VOR pole, and TACAN antenna.

Eau Gallie Electric also provided power and communication to all antennas, including duct banks, and rerouted power for RTR and wind-cone, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations throughout the project duration.

Eau Gallie Electric completed the following scope of work at the St. Pete International Airport - Relocate Runway Vault and Electrical Upgrades project:



Demolished the existing vault, generator, and fuel tanks.
Reconfigured the entire Airfield Lighting by installing 68,000 feet of L-824 5kv Cable and 12,500 feet of underground conduit that was direct buried, concrete encased, and directionally drilled.
Constructed a new vault, upgraded the ALCMS (Airfield Lighting Control Monitoring System), installed CCRs (Constant Current Regulators), and relocated existing vault equipment.
Installed an Airfield Lighting Control Monitoring System with Seacom Monitoring System and 3G/4G Remote Maintenance Laptop.
Installed 7 manholes measuring 10 feet by 10 feet by 11 feet and 6 manholes measuring 5 feet by 5 feet by 6 feet.
Installed 2 new CAT generators: one at 300 kW and the other at 60 kW.
Installed L-829 constant current regulators with ACE 3 Combos.
