Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Electrical Project Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day activities of construction projects in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction and excellent leadership and organizational skills. This position involves working closely with a Project Manager to take projects from pre-construction through completion.
As the Healthcare Electrical Project Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. The superintendent must be able to attend meetings, interact with the engineer of record, provide a 2 week look ahead schedule, conduct daily safety briefings, record, and report worker hours, order and manage material, organize manpower and job schedule, type reports and use a laptop computer or tablet.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manage the overall project schedule, ensuring that all milestones are met on time.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, to ensure that project specifications are met.
- Manage and supervise all onsite construction activities, ensuring that work is being performed to the required quality standards and within budget.
- Maintain and update project logs, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports. • Conduct daily meetings with the project team to review project status, schedule, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. • Monitor the progress of the project and report regularly to the Project Manager.
- Ensure that all project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. • Provide regular updates to the client on the status of the project.
- Manage project close-out activities, including punch lists, commissioning, and turnover.
- Knowledge of AHCA, ADA, OSHA requirements with proven ability to pass inspections.
- Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.
- Enforce high safety standards, including a clean job site. • Manage and perform weekly safety inspections.
- Inspect the quality of work for compliance with design standards and ensure corrective action occurs if/when necessary.
- Work collaboratively on the schedule for individual trade contractors or areas of a project to ensure milestone dates are met.
- Coordinate and manage general conditions work and project logistics. • Review vendor drawings and submittals.
- AHCA experience strongly preferred or inpatient. • Previous experience supervising subcontractors.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Working knowledge of Florida AHCA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
