AIRBUS ONEWEB SATELLITES – Generator & UPS Installations

Installed three owner-provided 1500kW Caterpillar generators with sub-base fuel tanks, walk-in enclosures, and stairs, including all necessary site work, compaction, concrete pads, lighting fixtures, diesel fuel piping, and crane and rigging services. We installed owner-provided 5000A paralleling switchgear with its concrete pad and rigging. We provided and installed underground copper feeders between the generators and the new switchgear, covering up to 70 FT from generator breaker to switchgear breaker. Additionally, we installed owner-provided 2000A and 4000A automatic transfer switches (ATS), including their concrete pads and rigging, and provided underground feeders between the generator switchgear and the two ATS units up to 35 FT from breaker to breaker. We also installed freestanding 4000A and 2000A main breakers in stainless steel cabinets, including concrete pads, rigging, conduit, and wire up to 20 FT with splices in the existing manhole, and constructed an underground duct bank between the new 4000A and 2000A main breakers and the existing manhole.

Finally, we installed the customer-provided flywheel UPS up to 30 FT from the maintenance bypass switchboard inside the electrical room, including rigging and installation of the customer-provided 2000A maintenance bypass panel.
