FDOT – District 1 Headquarters Design-Build Project – 800kw Generator Replacement

The design-build project to back up the entire 3-story FDOT District 1 Headquarters building, serving as the central data collection and communications hub for critical government infrastructure, has been successfully completed. The project entailed the installation of a 2000A transfer switch paired with an 800kW generator equipped with a 3000-gallon sub-base fuel tank.

Additionally, our team conducted site preparation and poured a concrete pad to support the generator system. We facilitated the installation of a new 2000A electrical service from the utility company and provided all necessary engineering design drawings to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Through meticulous planning and execution, Eau Gallie Electric ensured the successful implementation of the backup power system, bolstering the resilience of the FDOT District 1 Headquarters building.
